Local Storm Center Partners with Turner Media Group for Weather Coverage on WZBB and WYTI
MARTINSVILLE/ROCKY MOUNT, VA — October 21, 2025 — Local Storm Center, a growing provider of custom weather forecasts for radio stations, has partnered with Turner Media Group to deliver fully produced local weather coverage for Country WZBB “B-99.9” and Classic Country WYTI 1570 AM / 104.5 FM, serving Southern Virginia from Rocky Mount to Martinsville.
The launch comes just in time for the major NASCAR race weekend at Martinsville Speedway, bringing timely and local weather updates to listeners and race fans across the region. Martinsville’s iconic track draws national attention and thousands of visitors, making accurate weather information a critical part of race weekend coverage.
“Weather is one of the simplest and most effective ways to sound local, and we’re proud to help WZBB and WYTI deliver that for their listeners each and every day,” said Johnny Caudle, owner and lead forecaster at Local Storm Center. “We’re honored to support these stations with dependable weather coverage that keeps listeners informed and connected, especially during big moments like race weekend.”
“As budgets continue to tighten and broadcasters are required to do more with less, everyone has a lot more on their plate to worry about. Thanks to Johnny and Local Storm Center, we no longer worry about weather coverage. It’s fully automated, always updated on time, and at a price point that works. What’s more, within the first week of airing these forecasts, we already have three new businesses interested in sponsorships,” said Eric Turner, President of Turner Media Group.
Local Storm Center delivers multiple daily forecasts that keep listeners informed with clear, reliable weather updates they can count on.
