Chris Montgomery

  • Advisory Board Member

    Chris Montgomery is a seasoned radio professional with deep expertise in sales and marketing. Based in North Carolina, he serves as the station manager for a popular local radio station, where he has built a reputation for driving revenue growth, strengthening client relationships, and leading successful campaigns. With years of market leadership experience, Chris brings valuable perspective to the Local Storm Center Advisory Board, offering guidance in marketing, sales, and community engagement. Known for his strong leadership and commitment to keeping local radio vibrant, he helps ensure Local Storm Center remains connected, relevant, and responsive to the needs of stations and listeners.

Al Conklin

  • Advisory Board Member

    Al Conklin brings decades of forecasting expertise to the Local Storm Center Advisory Board. He began his broadcasting career in radio forecasting with AccuWeather in Pennsylvania, where he spent four years as a meteorologist before moving into television in 1989. His career has taken him from Wilmington, North Carolina, to Fort Myers and Miami, before returning to the Carolinas in 1993, where he has remained a trusted voice in weather for more than 30 years. Al holds the AMS TV Seal of Approval and earned an Emmy Award for Best Weathercast in 1997. In 2022, he was promoted to Chief Meteorologist, leading his station’s weather team with authority and experience.

Todd Edwards

    Todd Edwards brings extensive operations and programming experience to the Local Storm Center Advisory Board. Based in Elko, Nevada, he balances his role as an afternoon drive on-air personality with overseeing station operations in his market. With years of experience both behind the microphone and in management, Todd offers valuable insight into programming strategy and local audience engagement. Known for his approachable style and commitment to community-focused broadcasting, he provides trusted perspective that helps Local Storm Center stay aligned with the needs of stations and listeners.
